Joined prof. Cadiere, and Dr.Jacques Himpens, department of laparoscopic Abdominal Surgery.

This department is famous for Laparoscopic Surgery. Over 6000 advanced Laparoscopic procedures have been performed so far, it includes obesity surgery, Gastric and oesophageal resection, GERD procedures, various colonic procedures and Hernia repair. The department has ten year experience with laparoscopic surgery. The member of the team has performed over 200 laparoscopic procedures abroad.

The department organizing academic teaching courses, symposium and workshops. For the past five years, more than 800 Belgium and foreign surgeons have visited the department, and each year two European laparoscopic courses and several workshops organized.

It was  great opportunity for me to be exposed to wide variety of advanced laparoscopic procedures, it  includes complication of gastric Lap Band, diagnosis and management. Recurrent nissen fundoplication and several colonic and other laparoscopic procedures. I was independent surgeon in minimal invasive approach for common and advanced procedures.

Joined Dr. Jacques Himpens for advanced Training in laparoscopic General Surgery, Saint
Blasius Hospital, Dendermande, Belgium. In this Hospital almost all variety of laparoscopic Surgery are performed including Obesity Surgery Procedures such as ,lap Band, Lap. Gastric Bypass, Sleeve gastrectomy, as well as other lap. Procedures such as antirflux procedure, laparoscopic colonic resection and Hernial Repair. I was actively involved in all major procedures as  an assistant and supervised surgeon, also involved in the academic activity and Video conferences were held at the university Hospital during this period. I have performed many laparoscopic common and advanced procedures.


Vale Of Leven Hospital Surgical Skills Unit, University Of Dundee, UK:

Date: September 2001

Four weeks attachment as a visiting laparoscopic Training Fellow, I joined Prof. Nassar in vale of leven Hospital and the Surgical Skills Unit, University of Dundee.

During this period I had the opportunity to be exposed to many procedures, such as laparoscopic bile duct explorations, laparoscopic anti-reflux procedures, laparoscopic adhesolysis and advanced dissection technique in laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Prince Sultan Laparoscopic Unit, King Fahad Hospital, Jeddah:

During this period I have been exposed to varieties of advanced Laparoscopic procedures, such as CBD lap. Exploration, Anti-Reflux Procedures, Vertical Banded Gasroplasty, Lap. Band for morbid obesity Splenectomy, Hernia Repai [TAPP], Adrinalectomy, and Diagnostic Lap in Surgical Abdomen. I was independent Surgeon in Lap. Choly including Empeama of the gall Bladder, Hernia Repair and splenectomy and first assistant in other procedures
